Do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. I’ve seen this familiar quote attributed to many from Confucius to Marc Antony to Mark Twain. Regardless of whoever first said it, the sentiment rings true. If we are blessed enough to be able to do work we love, it really doesn’t seem like work.
So as we all pause today in the U.S. for a holiday honoring laborers, I am personally pausing to be mindful and thankful as well. I am thankful for work I love with and for people I am honored to serve. I am thankful for all those who serve me in various capacities through the work they do.
May we all take a moment to pause in thankfulness for those who work for us, with us and for whom we work.
Happy Labor Day!
